What is ETOA? ETOA, the European Technology Assessment Organization, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, plays an important role in the field of building products. As a non-profit organization, EOTA draws on the scientific and technological expertise of its members to develop and adopt the European Assessment Document (EAD). EOTA coordinates the application process for the European Technical Assessment (ETA) and promotes the adoption process for the European Assessment Document (EAD). EOTA also maintains close contact with the European Commission (EC) and the Construction Standing Committee, proactively reporting issues related to EAD preparation and making recommendations for improvement to the EC based on accumulated experience. EOTA is committed to ensuring that its members share best practices to improve efficiency and better serve the industry. At the same time, it publicly publishes EAD and ETA related content to promote the progress of the industry. EOTA works closely with the European Commission, EU Member States, EFTA countries, European Standardisation organisations and various research and construction stakeholders to promote the development of the industry. EOTA also handles other important matters related to the manufacture and use of building products and the promotion of building innovation. Established on the basis of Regulation 305/2011 (EU), the EOTA consists of all Technical assessment bodies (TABs) designated by the Member States of the European Union and the European Economic Area, and includes those countries with which the EU has entered into a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).

What is ETA? ETA stands for European Technical Assessment (European Technical Assessment), an important certification involving building materials products. The ETA certification is based on the basic requirements of Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 for the Safety of CE Building Products, which provides strong proof of the technical performance of the product in the specific application. For products that do not have mandatory certification provisions or harmonized standards in CE certified CPR regulations,ETA certification is necessary. Through the ETA compliance certification procedure, the product must meet the relevant ETA standards, and the manufacturer must carry out production quality process control. Products that meet the requirements will be allowed to mark CE marking. There are 27 EU ETA certified member states, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia Nigeria, Spain and Sweden. ETA certification, one test, lifetime validity. ETA certification scope includes: Metal expansion fasteners back bolt displacement control fasteners Chemical anchor bolt/planting steel for external wall insulation system Plastic fasteners Stone fasteners EU ETA certification is an important guarantee for product quality and performance.
