In July, the export scale recovered to more than 2 trillion yuan, and further expanded in August, achieving month-on-month growth for three consecutive months. Among them, the import and export scale in August was nearly 3.6 trillion yuan, an average increase of 8.2% over the same period in 2020 to 2022, which is the second highest in the history of the same period. In the first eight months, China's general trade imports and exports were 17.72 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.7%, accounting for 65.4% of China's total foreign trade value, an increase of 1.2 percentage points over the same period last year. In the first eight months, China exported 8.97 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, an increase of 3.6%, accounting for 58% of the total export value. According to customs data, in the first eight months of this year, ASEAN was China's largest trading partner, with the total value of trade between China and ASEAN reaching 4.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.6%, accounting for 15.2% of China's total foreign trade. The EU was China's second largest trading partner, with imports from the EU reaching 1.31 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.3%. The United States was China's third largest trading partner, importing 775.26 billion yuan from the US, up by 1.6%. In the same period, China's imports and exports to countries jointly building the Belt and Road totaled 12.62 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6%. The business environment continues to improve. Recently, under the supervision of Fenggang Customs, Guangdong Huangpu Customs, Mingmen (China) Children's Products Co., LTD., a batch of strollers with a value of about 8 million yuan were successfully exported to Europe.
