On April 15, the 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened in Guangzhou. The Handan Municipal Commerce Bureau actively organized enterprises from our city to participate in the exhibition.
It is reported that the current Canton Fair will be held in three phases from April 15 to May 5, and the online platform will be operated on a regular basis. In the first phase of this Canton Fair, a total of 38 companies from our city participated in the offline exhibition. The exhibiting products covered six major categories, including auto parts, electronic and electrical products, general machinery and mechanical basic parts, processing machinery and equipment, bicycles, and hardware. According to statistics, on the first day of the Canton Fair, our city's offline exhibitors signed 23 orders with an amount of approximately US$1.317 million, and intended to close 183 orders with an amount of approximately US$5.977 million.
In order to further enhance the visibility and influence of the Yongnian District Fastener National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base, and better serve the "going out" of base enterprises, 29 companies in Yongnian District set up contiguous exhibitions in the standard exhibition area of this Canton Fair, focusing on displaying the image of the base. In addition, the Yongnian District Import and Export Chamber of Commerce has applied for an additional 100 square meters of booths in the national foreign trade base exhibition area, doubling the total area of the Yongnian District Fasteners exhibition area compared to the previous Canton Fair. At the same time, on April 15, the "International Business News" published a special issue on the Canton Fair to introduce the relevant situation of the Yongnian District Fastener National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base, further increasing the base's popularity.
