SCM420 is a classic Cr-Mo carburizing alloy steel conforming to JIS G4053 standard. Its balanced chemical composition contains carbon, chromium and molybdenum, with carbon content strictly controlled between 0.18% and 0.23%. Strict limits are set for phosphorus, sulfur and non-metallic inclusions. After carburizing heat treatment, SCM420 obtains wear-resistant surface and tough core without temper brittleness, showing remarkable high-temperature resistance and anti-fatigue performance, which makes it the core material for precision power transmission components.
Compared with ordinary carbon steel wire, Aotian proprietary spheroidizing annealing process greatly improves wire ductility. No cracking or chipping occurs during cold heading, bending and wire drawing processes.
