SWCH10A is a widely adopted cold heading steel wire in fastener
manufacturing. Classified under JIS G3539 carbon steel wire for
cold heading and cold forging, it serves as one of the primary raw materials for Class 4.8 general fasteners.
SWCH10A features low-carbon composition: Carbon 0.08~0.13%, Silicon ≤0.10%, Manganese 0.30~0.60%. Harmful elements phosphorus and sulphur are strictly limited. The steel boasts high cleanliness and great ductility to resist cracking during cold forming. In most cases, finished parts require no further heat treatment. It is directly used for cold heading bolts, nuts, rivets, machine screws, tapping screws and other standard or non-standard parts.
