The heat treatment of steel wire can eliminate the hardening phenomenon caused by cold working, and obtain mechanical and physical properties. Steel wire heat treatment has the following methods:
1. Normalizing treatment. Normalizing is generally used as an intermediate treatment process of steel wire. The steel wire is heated to a certain degree, and then cooled after holding it for a period of time. The purpose is to soften the wire.
2. Austempering treatment. The steel wire is heated to 850-1000 degrees, and then cooled at a constant temperature to obtain sorbite treatment.
3. Annealing treatment. The steel wire is heated to an appropriate temperature and then slowly cooled, which can eliminate the hindrance caused by drawing, improve the plasticity and toughness of the steel wire, and ensure that the finished steel wire obtains the required mechanical grade and metallographic structure.
The steel wire can obtain sorbite after heat treatment, thereby ensuring the physical properties of the product, making the finished steel wire have good elasticity, straightness, toughness, fatigue resistance, etc., greatly improving the service life of the steel wire.
