1. Lead quenching (sortenitizing treatment).
It is usually called lead quenching, also known as steel wire toughening treatment. It is still a heat treatment method commonly used at home and abroad for high production. After the lead bath, the strength and hardness of the steel wire can increase by about 10%. .
2. Tempering treatment.
Generally called stress removal treatment, suitable for cold-drawn medium and high-carbon steel wires. The method is to heat to a temperature below the transition temperature and then cool to room temperature to remove the internal stress generated during the cold drawing of the steel wire. Tempering treatment is often used for steel wire for prestressed concrete and tire edge steel wire. Tempering treatment can increase the elongation of cold drawn steel wire, reduce the slack value, and increase the ratio of yield point to strength, but it will reduce the tensile strength and bending value of the steel wire.
3. Stabilization treatment.
The stabilization treatment is a kind of low temperature deformation heat treatment, which is to heat the steel wire after multiple passes under a certain load for a period of time to achieve the purpose of improving its deformation resistance. It is mostly used in the production of prestressed steel strands, prestressed steel strands and other products.
4. Solution treatment.
It is essentially a high-temperature annealing, whose purpose is to completely dissolve the alloying elements into the matrix structure. Usually used to process stainless steel and heat-resistant steel wires.
5. Deformation heat treatment.
A heat treatment process that combines deformation and phase change together. It plays a comprehensive role in deformation strengthening and phase change strengthening. Therefore, it is a process that can improve both strength and plasticity and toughness.
6. Annealing.
Annealing generally refers to a heat treatment method that cools down at a slower rate.
